Jesus spoke these words to his friends the night before he died. In 2027 he speaks them to us, and to half a million young people gathering in Seoul.

A week with Pope Leo XIV and the universal Church, the first WYD in Asia since 1995. Jesus Youth Australia is going together, and we want you with us.

Jesus Youth Australia has been at every World Youth Day since our first trip, to Cologne in 2005. Each one has sent young people home on fire for Christ. Seoul is next, and you could be part of the story.

WYD ’23 in Portugal was one of the most formative experiences of my life. I will always treasure the lifelong friendships made meeting our Jesus Youth family from across the globe, and the courage I received in my own faith journey from seeing the Universal Church fully alive!

From exchanging smiles and gifts with strangers to singing praise through the streets and seeing people receive God’s forgiveness in Reconciliation in a public park, these are moments I will never forget.

WYD was an eye-opening experience of the oneness of the Body of Christ. I was blown away that a million people of different cultures, languages and experiences could come together to worship God. A true experience of what it means to be Catholic: universal.

World Youth Day was a transformative experience: a time of prayer, journey and reflection on our spiritual wins and losses. It all came together in seeing millions of young people gather to receive Christ in a foreign country, in less than comfortable conditions. It was life-changing.
